On November 5, Gregg and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary!! It was an exciting benchmark to hit! We attempted to plan a couple extravagant trips to commemorate, but ended up staying close to home. Grandma Cherie came into town which allowed us to spend a great day/night together!

Kaylen was all dressed up to watch the Utah v.
TCU game that day... unfortunately the luck of our beautiful girl didn't help them much that day!

Thanks to our apartments being without cable, we headed downtown to watch the game! It was fun to hang out together, but NOT to watch Utah lose... BAD!
We had dinner at the Melting Pot downtown. It's a super yummy fondue restaurant just a block or so away from where we stayed at one of our favorite hotels, The Hotel Monaco. It's fun to do dinner at the Melting Pot because it's more of an experience than just dinner!

After dinner, we headed to an
improv comedy show that was also super close! I quickly remembered that
improv shows rely on audience participation, but lucky for me, I didn't get called on... but Gregg did! And he did great! It was actually a great show and got some good laughs!

Love this face!

LOVE this smile!

We really appreciated Grandma Cherie coming to help us out for the weekend so we could have a night away! She experienced some bad car trouble on the way down, but didn't have trouble going back. We were able to get some great time in together that Friday night for our anniversary and had another yummy dinner out before our anniversary festivities the next day! It was a wonderful weekend for us all to spend together!
